The Sunshine Quarterly Retreat
What it is
A 3-day / 2-night retreat for a maximum of 12 women (cis + trans) and other LGBTQIA+ people who are navigating major transition seasons. This is a private, curated container built around shared support, honest conversation, and practical integration. It’s not therapy, and it’s not a performative “healing weekend.” It’s a place to breathe, tell the truth, be understood by people who get it, and re-find your footing with structure.
Who it’s for
You’re in the messy middle of a major life shift: divorce, empty nest, identity shift, burnout recovery, career change, grief, relocation
Your current support system is thin, tapped out, or doesn’t understand this version of you
You’re craving community that’s emotionally intelligent, grounded, and not full of toxic positivity
You want real connection, privacy, and belonging — not a big retreat crowd
What you get
A small group of people facing similar challenges (curated for compatibility)
Structured sessions designed for connection, reflection, and forward motion
Guided group circles with clear norms: confidentiality, respect, no fixing, no advice-bullying
“Shared story” space: speaking, being witnessed, and being believed
Practical tools you can use immediately
Your personal “Thriving Without Plan” created during the weekend (with support and feedback from the group)
Post-retreat integration call to keep the connection going and help you stay steady
How it works
Pre-retreat: short intake + intention worksheet (to match the group well and curate the experience)
Friday afternoon: arrival + decompression + “what I’m carrying / what I’m ready to set down”
Saturday: shared support circles + structured reflection + rebuilding the next chapter with the group
Sunday: integration + commitments + friction-proofing the first 30 days after you go home
After: one group integration call 7–10 days later
What makes it different
This retreat is designed around one simple truth: the right people, in the right setting, can change everything.
You don’t just leave with insights. You leave with:
proof you’re not the only one living this
language for what you’re experiencing
a small group that mirrors your strength back to you
a plan that holds up in real life
Boundaries (because safety is a feature, not a vibe)
This is not therapy, and I’m not acting as a clinician
No harassment, coercion, or weaponized “honesty”
Substance use: keep it minimal and nervous-system-friendly (details set per retreat)
Confidentiality is required: what’s shared here stays here
